NEWS crosstalk in Potato this time :D They talk about things that make them want to hug them, about their recent dinner outing where Tegoshi didn't feel like he was properly treated and Massu blames Koyama for his cold? XD Some talk about Shige's book as well, and Massu makes it seem as if he hasn't even opened the book, oh Massu~ XD

(*Note- The theme in "Gyu (ギュッ)" which literally means 'tightly' but is kind of used like to 'hug' or 'hold tightly')

At dinner with just the 4 of them there were many 'Gyu' experiences!?
Koyama: Seems like the theme this time is "Gyu". What comes to mind?
Shige: (Ashida) Mana-chan! (laugh) She sings Gyu ♪* right.
Massu: My first instinct, was to imagine a cow (Gyuu)
Koyama: Those are very different (laugh) How about Tegoshi?
Tegoshi: Probably the Gyu from "Hold on to me and be by my side okay"
Koyama, Massu & Shige: As expected from Tegoshi!
Koyama: As expected, Tegoshi is an idol
Massu: We need to learn from him too. Right, Shige? (laugh)
Shige: That's right (laugh)
Tegoshi: What's with this (laugh)
Koyama: Okay then, what's the thing that unconsciously makes you want to hug it? For me it's our cat Nyanta. He's cute
Massu: Grilled beef tongue with salt (Gyuutan shio). That's a cow though (laugh)
Shige: For me it's a hugging pillow
Massu: Shige, you use things like hugging pillows?
Shige: It's a fluffy, dot patterned one, it's unexpectedly cute.
Koyama: You do that with a book?
Shige: One that's fluffy! If it was a book, I'd be poked by the corners when I hugged it!!
Koyama: (While getting excited) So, Tegoshi-san, the thing that makes you want to hug it is?
Tegoshi: If I could, I'd probably want to hug each and every person who comes to our concerts
All 4: Yay~ (High five)
Koyama: As expected. You're such an idol~
Massu: Shige, we have to learn from that too
Shige: That's right. By the way, isn't this line getting pretty bad? (laugh)
Koyama: Next is, the situation that makes you want to hug someone is? That's kind of like your heart jumping ♥ ('Kyun'). Kyun and Gyu are kind of different huh?
Shige: When your heart jumps, there are situations where it makes you want to hug someone so "Kyun" and "Gyu" are probably connected. For example, if you're meeting someone in winter, and I say "Sorry for making you wait" and she says "I didn't have to wait at all" and the girls nose and cheeks are all red, it would make your heart jump and then after that make you want to hug her.
Koyama: Going along with Shige's pattern then, if she puts her hands into my pockets, it would go from my heart jumping to wanting to hug her right
Shige: In Massu's case, if a cow was put in your pocket? (laugh)
Massu: If I walked into my room and it said "moo", then it's a cow (laugh)
Koyama: That was pretty good, but I wonder if this nuance is getting across well (laugh) Okay now, Okay now, sorry for making you wait. Tegoshi-san
Tegoshi: For me, when talking to the person you like, and you say "Try saying that you like me?". And after she says "I like you ♥" she's all "Stop it~", that moment where she's all "pero" looking all embarrassed
Shige: What is that, I don't understand of that "pero" you used at the end there though (laugh)
Massu: It's like "Tehepero**"
Koyama: When she's getting embarrassed right
Shige: Hmmm~ (laugh) During concerts we have those 'gyu' moments with each other as well probably
Massu: Shige has skinship while on stage at concerts. Like when we walk past each other on stage, you have this look on your face like "why won't he do it?"
Shige: It shows on my face? How embarrassing. I don't have that look on my face do I
Koyama: If it was from me, even though Massu's the one saying that right now, he's the one who most holds his arms out and puts them around me.
Tegoshi: This is a bit different from the hug type of 'gyu' but before we go out for a concert, we always come together and make a circle before going out.
Koyama: I feel like that's all of us coming together with the feelings of 'Let's do our best'.
Massu: Yeah, all of us holding hands and coming together before a concert is important
Koyama: Doesn't it feel like we're all one when we hod hands at the end of the concert and say "This was NEWS"?
Massu: It's like momentarily the whole arena, including us, are all holding on to each other tightly, and a sense of unity is born
Tegoshi: As expected, concerts are the place where we can all be close together with everyone then
Massu: So, then the place where the 4 of us can be close together is when we go out to dinner.
Koyama: We went last week too
Massu: We were all sitting around the irori fireplace*** and came together.
Shige: Of course, it was Koyama-san's treat
Koyama: When the 4 of us get together, it somehow just happened that it's always my treat. Well, I am the one who sends out the emails from a mailing list to invite you to eat I guess
Tegoshi: I think that I haven't been treated yet though. It should be carried forward onto the next time and added onto there shouldn't it?
Massu: What's with that? What do you mean?
Shige: For Tegoshi, he has that sort of realisation (laugh) At first it was me and Koyama eating and then afterwards the other 2 came. Massu came right away but Tegoshi could only stay for 30 minutes. He said "I'm not being properly treated"
Tegoshi: Yeah. In the end I was only treated to a drink so I was thinking that the amount for the food could just be added onto next time. Just something to be aware of for now.
Koyama: For me, even if it was just a drink it was still you being treated to something
Massu: If it's like that, I have something I want to say to Koyama too. It was really cold on that day wasn't it? Despite that, it was a pretty long way from the meeting place you appointed to the restaurant. I ended up catching a cold you know
Koyama: It is true that we came in saying "It's cold!". I didn't think Massu would know of that restaurant so I thought I was making it easier
Massu: Next time prepare a car to come pick us up at home too.
Shige Transportation included?
Tegoshi: That's a good idea
Massu: Or Koyama could just come and pick us up at home~
Koyama: If I do that then I won't be able to drink. But we got to talk about things from now on, and we had some really passionate conversations and it was fun so lets go again.
Shige: Let's have sushi next time
Massu: Thinking "I've never eaten this sushi before" would be good
Koyama: Did you know that now you can call a sushi place to come to your house?
Shige: You call them over!? Who's place would we do it at?
Massu: Of course, that would be Shige's place!!
Shige: As expected
Koyama: Okay, so next time is sushi
Massu: Sushi is also something that makes you want to hold onto it tightly (laugh)

Their response to the messages Shige had in his book were?
Koyama: I read "Pink & Gray" that Shige wrote 3 times. You had an event for it too right
Shige: Yeah. I'm also watching your drama "Lucky Seven"
Tegoshi: I haven't read Shige's book yet but I'm definitely going to. I've read about the first 30 pages and I thought "This would get you really into it". I thought it would be bad to read it at the same time as the book I'm reading now Koyama: Shige's book is easy to read
Massu: Are the characters on a page really big?
Koyama: I mean that because it's a book written by someone you know, you get really into it. What am I doing trying to desperately introduce Shige's book (laugh)
Massu: But reading the book, my image of Shige might end up changing
Shige: It' fine if it changes. What are you even thinking about me then
Massu: (laugh) Shige gave us his book with his signature along with a message but he wrote on Tegoshi's "Definitely read it" and on mine he wrote "If you can read it, try and read it ok". In my case, because I'm not used to reading books, I wonder if you were trying to be polite
Koyama: The ones for you 2 are pretty good. Because mine was just "Read it!" (laugh) But if it really does get adapted into a film it would be pretty interesting
Shige: If that actually happened it would be interesting.

It's time to talk about families! XD They talk about their upbringing and how they were as kids, as well as about their families. Tegoshi talks about his pretty mum, Massu looks like no one in his family, Shige has been independent and wanting to grow up since he was a kid and Koyama running away from home!? (Kinda XD)

I loved time spent with family!

Since I was a kid I was mischievous, lively and was proactive when it came to sports and study. I was the leader of the kids and I was the type to want to stand out so I did things like being a class committee member. It was kind of like, if there was a class event I was the leader, if there was a relay I was the anchor (laugh)

I got along well with my family and we went out together often. But, I was an only child so there were times where I was disciplined strictly. Like with my use of words, and how to hold chopsticks. I think that everything that I was taught then is still alive in the work I'm doing now. There was a time where I missed my curfew and was locked out of the house. I was in front of my house thinking about what I should do....I was crying, and shouting and calling out. I was thinking that if I became a nuisance to the neighbourhood she'd open the door for me (laugh)

But, I didn't really have a rebellious age. There were times where I was told "Study!" and I thought "So annoying" but, I was never forced, like "Do ~". Because "Do the things you want to do" was our education policy.

Our personalities are completely opposite, but my face is exactly like my mum's
My face is exactly the same as my mum's. Like he structure and the balance of it. I even think that we look alike, and I'm told that often. My mum is really pretty! In primary school, when all of the mum's would come for parent's day, it made me want to boast! I thought "I win!" (laugh) But our personalities are completely the opposite. I like standing out but my mum hates standing out and she's really quiet. My optimistic "whatever will be will be" type attitude takes after my dad.

A mischievous episode from your childhood?
Instead of a greeting....
In my 2nd and 3rd years of primary school, all I would be doing is going around lifting up skirts and kissing girls on the cheek (laugh) There was a point where my mum was called into the school and I got told off with her.

Winter is snowboarding right!
I went snowboarding! I got new board and snow wear and I fully enjoyed my first snowboard of the season. The snow fall good and it was 2 guys boarding the whole time.....until out muscles hurt (laugh)

Shige

Both my parents worked so I was independent since I was small

I feel like I was independent since I was in kindergarten. Both of my parents worked so even when I came home I just spent time in my room. At the time it felt a bit lonely but thinking about it now, I think that it was probably a good thing. It made me able to do anything on my own. I was never told "Don't do that" or "Do this" by my parents but my dad always said "You need to go through with the things you say". My dad was the scary type so, even though I was a kid, I properly obeyed by that family precept. Since about primary school, I was a kid who could decide on thins and act on them myself. I remember not being able to help wanting to hurry up and become an adult.

Amongst my friends I was the 2nd mood maker (laugh) I wasn't number 1 so that feels like a good position. Also, I properly studied and went to short courses during summer holidays....My teacher's evaluations on my report card were all very good. That was probably the time in my youth that I was an honour student (laugh)

My personality is inherited from both my mum and my dad
My methodical and vain father and my mother who loves to make things. Lately I've been thinking that I've inherited things from both sides. Recently we were watching TV as a family and I was surprised! Especially that we'd all start laughing like "ha!" at parts that weren't even funny. We really are parents and child~ I'm independent from my parents but my parents don't seem to be able to let go of their kid. Even though a long time ago they'd say "Be independent!", now they come over to my place and drink tea even though they have no reason to come over (laugh)

A mischievous episode from your childhood?
The name of the girl I like....
In primary school, you'd do things like write down the name of the girl you like right? I would write in on my notebooks and erasers but it was accidentally seen and it was embarrassing.

Bracing myself and studying
Right now is a time where I'm cramming a lot of things inside myself. I'm watching movies, reading books, watching TV. Even during the month when I'm reinforcing my studies, I'll meet with Maruyama-kun at night and we'll have a vigorous exchange of opinions!

Massu

I was raised watched over by a very kind family

When I was younger I was the type to be the boss of the kids. Things like "I have to be the red ranger in OO-rangers!" (laugh) So everyone played very excitedly and mischievously at school. Even when I was at home I would think "I'm the best!" (laugh) All of my family watched over me nicely (laugh) I don't really remember them getting that angry at me or being too strict with me. Of course they did teach me all general knowledge, like things that I should and shouldn't do but I was never told "Do this, do that". I've never been the type to do things just because I was told to and my parents understood that so maybe that's why they never said anything.

Looking at it from me now, my parent's are great! I mean, I'm getting close to the age my parents got married at but I still can't even think about things like marriage. I'm better at cleaning than my mum is though (laugh) But that's only sometimes~ when I do my best to clean, as expected, I can't compare to my mum who does it everyday!

Everyone in the Masuda-household are big hearted and loose (laugh)

I don't look like anyone in my family. My family line seems to be a bit different from my parents (laugh) If I had to say one, I'm told that I look like the grandmother of a relative but But I definitely think that I don't! (laugh)

We don't look alike but all of my family are O blood types, so our atmosphere might be similar. A kind, big hearted feeling. But, everyone has no decisiveness (laugh) There's no person to say "I'll decide!" so we just somehow seem to decide on things we have to (laugh)

A mischievous episode from your childhood?
I was very energetic with playing outside
Until I was about in primary school, I was all about the wilderness! I'd ride my bike up mountains and then come back, I'd play way too much dodge ball that I'd get nosebleeds (laugh) I was always running around outside (laugh)

An unexpected thing....
I recently noticed that you can open under the water tank of the humidifier we use at home....when I tried opening it, it was really dirty (laugh) I panicked thinking "I did this!" and cleaned it.

Koyama

Helping out with the store made me have a not shy personality

Since they had a restaurant, my parents were busy so I spent a lot of time with my older sister. Especially my mum, she had house work + preparations to do, it made me think "When does she sleep?". I helped out with the store when I came home from school too. Coming in contact with various customers made me have a personality where I don't get shy I think. Me being able to get along well with anyone has some influence from then.

A long time ago in the Koyama Family there was an implicit rule of "You do your own things yourself.". Changing the wording around, it meant we had freedom. Even the really common things, for a primary school student to do would be hard right? I think that the root for me thinking that I need to decide on things myself and take responsibility is from that. I recently started not talking to my mum about work. Because even if I have worries, I can solve them myself and I want my parents to be at ease. I told her "I want you to watch your son's work as one of the fans" so now she's completely a fan. Mum, I'm already fine ♥

Having a positive family, I grew into someone reliable!

My older sister and mum have naturally optimistic personalities, I'm the opposite. I'm surprised by them saying "Well, it'll happen somehow" a lot. Being spirited and candid is fine but it makes me worry (laugh) Being raised amongst all that, when I was younger I was sort of concealed behind my older sister. When I was in the upper grades of primary school, I became the captain of the baseball team and I became self aware of being a leader. That's where my life as a leader started.

A mischievous episode in your childhood?
An experience of running away from home for 15 minutes!
I had a fight with my mum and I decided to run away from home. When I was leaving she brought me rice balls. I stayed in the park for 15 minutes and then it was so cold so I went home right away. My mum was waiting for me right at the entrance

Even though they're older, they're tougher than me!?
There are a lot of times where I go out to eat with the staff but they were all older than me! We were all talking and after a while I became sleepy but everyone else was energetic (laugh)

Tegoshi

1. Hobbies Soccer & Futsal. Also what I like a lot lately is "Listening to people's songs". Going to a bar that has karaoke included and listen to my friends or people that I don't know at all singing is fun. And people sing the really popular songs at karaoke so I can also find out what songs are in right now
2. Skills/what you're good at Being popular with guys (laugh) There are a lot of times where guys tell me "You're a good guy"
3. Weak points If I think "I'm now good at that" then I won't go out and play at all. For example, even if I know that me being with that person would be a plus to me, it's still impossible. I think that what I like and dislike being so clearly divided is a weak point
4. Good pints & bad points My good point is that when my idol switch is on, I don't get embarrassed. A bad point is that I can't be the type of person to be liked by everyone.
5.Your charm point My charm point is that I can do a fast dribble in soccer touching the ball only lightly (laugh)
6. Your habit My habit is to lick my bottom lip so when I don't have lip cream it dries out easily
7. Your favourite food Sushi. Especially Mackerel

9. Your menu from this morning and for tonight This morning was 1 banana and 1 mandarin. I had TV word from this morning so I ate them in the car on the way there. What I want to eat tonight is something with boiled vegetables and fish.....a Japanese style meal. Actually, I have plans to leave the house early tomorrow morning as well. I have to eat early and go to sleep. And the day after tomorrow I'm going to Hawaii for work so I think I'll be eating something with meat or with punch, so tonight it'll be something light.
10. The housework you're good at Laundry. I do the laundry 2 or 3 times a week. It takes 1 hour and 8 minutes for the drying to finish so while that's happening I hang up the things that need to be hung and clean my room.
11. Your clothes & position when you sleep A long T-shirt with jersey bottoms. I sleep with my legs wrapped around a hugging pillow and am facing my left.
12. How you spend nights where you can't sleep If I'm thinking about a lot of things I can't sleep, so I do my best to be "blank"!
13. The time and place that you can relax in When I'm lying on my side on the sofa at home watching a dvd or playing with my cell phone.
14.The time it takes you to bathe and the order you wash your body About 20 minutes. My order is Shampoo, treatment, body (Legs -> torso -> arms -> neck) face.
15. What you like and hate about your body What I like is the muscles on my thighs. What I hate is the nail on my small toe. Playing soccer you kick the ball with the outside of your foot so the nail is cracked
16. Something that happened recently that involved emotions Was it happiness I wonder, or fun? I happened to be nearby the "Hoken-ekiden" course so I went to watch and I thought "...Ah, this is the first gallery in my whole life" (laugh) Seeing the contestants run in real life, they were really fast! Running at 80% of their full speed for the whole long distance is pretty amazing. Then I got home and watched as the university students passed on the sash made me cry. I also watched the "Nation wide high school soccer championships". I like seeing people do their best with sports
17. What you want most right now Probably feels towards myself. I want to steal all the hearts in Japan (laugh)
18. Your treasured item My friends that make me open up. Lately, the number of close friends I have has increased. It seems like I match up well with the good looking soccer players. The straightforwardness and hating to lose of a sportsman and the merit based on ability is charming. As people they have a lot of power.
19. Big news I'm going to Hawaii for the first time in 3 years!! It's for work, but I'm looking forward to it. I want to go shopping by myself or for a walk on my time off

Yuya's Love Talk

1. The type of girl you like
A cute girl. I think that a girl who's smiling when she's with everyone and can be considerate and can be sympathetic is cute

2. A girl that made your heart jump recently
There were quite a lot of girls who were wearing school girl uniforms at the Tegomasu Concert and it made my heart jump (laugh)

3.What would you say if you were to confess?
"It's fine if you don't want to date me but is it okay if I like you?"

4. Your ideal date course
I want to go snowboarding. We'll drive there and go to the slopes, we'll snowboard and then stay over night, we'll have a bath while talking to each other through the wall between the guys ad girls baths (laugh) Then go back to our room and fall asleep while talking to each other and then snowboard again in the morning and go home. That sort of thing is my dream!

5. Your memories of your first love
I kept chasing after a girl I liked in my 3rd year of elementary school. She was an innocent and smart girl. When we would get put into groups. I would always do my best to be put in the same group and I did say "I like you!" but it didn't turn out well. She said "I like Kobayashi-kun!" (laugh)

6. At what age and with what sort of person do you want to get married?
In my teens I used to say I wanted to get married by 26 or 27 but now my desire to get married had done away. I like spending time on my own so rather than getting married I'd want us to go back and worth to each others houses and being together for half the week would be good. When speaking of a person who I'd find ideal, it's a person who has a dream! I don't care what it's about, but a girl who has a dream and is working hard towards it is good!

1. Hobbies Buying books. At the ed of the year I got 3 books that had really stylish covers. I bought them without looking at the inside at all so I look forward to seeing what the contents are (laugh) By the way, the next book I'm thinking of buying is Shige's book~
2. Skills/what you're good at Mid-air flip* I haven't done it in front of everyone but I can properly do it. I am a Johnny's!
3. Weak points I'm bad with bugs. I'm even bad when it comes to tiny bugs but I'm kind of okay with only ladybugs (laugh)
4. Good pints & bad points My good point is that I'm not shy at all. My bad point is that I'm sometimes a bit selfish. Recently when I went out to eat with friends, when a friend was about to leave I stopped him saying "Stay with me a bit longer~". That sort of selfishness is okay right?
5.Your charm point My dimple! When I was little I had two but now it's only my right side (laugh)
6. Your habit When I send an email, somewhere in the first 2 lines I'll definitely end up using "Maa (well...)" I use it like "It's *something* right. Well, I guess because it's *something*"
7. Your favourite food Chicken and Gyoza
8. The food you hate There isn't anything especially but things like Habanero peppers or really spicy food, they're a matter of taste and I probably wouldn't eat them.
9. Your menu from this morning and for tonight My breakfast is always bread. This morning is was melon bread that I bought from a bakery and milk. I feel like I want to eat Gyoza tonight.
10. The housework you're good at I don't cook at all but I'm good at vacuuming. I properly go from corner to corner with it. I'm always cleaning bit by bit so my room is always clean
11. Your clothes & position when you sleep A flower print sweat shirt and T-shirt, and grey sweat pants. I sleep either facing up or facing down to the left.
12. How you spend nights where you can't sleep I give up on sleeping and spend time watching TV until I feel sleepy. I watch DVD's or late night dramas or mail order shows as well. I get interested and start wondering what sort of products they have
13. The time and place that you can relax in When I get home and just laze around on the sofa, that's the best relaxing time. Also, when I go to the chiropractor after concert to loosen up my body is supreme bliss. I really like the bottom of the feet getting massaged~ There's nowhere that hurts
14.The order you wash your body when bathing 30 minutes. After washing my head, I wash from the left side.
15. What you like and hate about your body I like it all
16. Something that happened recently that involved emotions Having finished the 3rd Tegomasu tour, it makes me think that it really was a fun tour. Because thanks to everyone I was happy from the opening to the end. I'll be doing my best to show everyone a Tegomasu who have matured for our next tour!
17. What you want most right now 5 toed socks. I really love them and I have a lot of them though. I still want more cute and stylish ones
18. Your treasured item I cherish all of the people who are around me right now
19. Big news At Johnny's countdown we got to interact with a lot of people and it was fun. I got hear from Imai Tusbasa-kun's trip to Spain and I got really into chatting with TOKIO's Kokubun Taichi and V6's Inohara Yoshihiko. When I stopped by a shop I liked to look at the new items, clothes that I had bought had been put on sale. I was shocked (laugh)
20. Message I'll be doing my best from now on too to keep encouraging all of you so please support me.

Takahisa's Love Talk

1. The type of girl you like
I like stylish girls. Skirts are good too but an energetic girl that suits shorts is good. Someone who's personality is normally nice, but sometimes a strong will coming out, that sort of gap will get me.

2. A girl that made your heart jump recently
When I saw girls walking on the streets that put their sunglasses up like a headband and it suited it, it made my heart jump. It was cool so it made me think "I'll do it too!" (laugh)

3.What would you say if you were to confess?
I think that it being simple will convey your feelings better. So probably just straight out saying "I like you!". I'm the type to want to be manly and be the one to confess. I wouldn't say it in an email, I'd say it directly to the person

4. Your ideal date course
Spending the whole day playing at an amusement park is ideal. I want the two of us to wear the character goods from the park and have fun!

5. Your memories of your first love
In my 4th year of elementary school I liked the girl who sat next to me in class~ She was an energetic, bright and cute girl and I talked to her a lot. I recently heard a rumour that that girl had gotten married and I was shocked...

6. At what age and with what sort of person do you want to get married?
Marriage isn't something that I can think about realistically right now. It would be nice if I could marry a family orientated person before I'm 40. A person who's good at cooking and could control my health would be good. I'd want her to make me some delicious and healthy meals (laugh) So a person who has knowledge about health would be good.

1. Hobbies The gym, sign language and talking to people. I go the gym every 2nd day. I'm thinking I want to train up my body before I'm 30 so I'm doing my best (laugh) I did in for 24 hour TV in '09 so I've continued sign language up until now and I'm level 2 ranked. Me liking to talk to people is helpful with my activities as a caster. 13. The time and place that you can relax in When my pet cat Nyanta is lying on my knees sleeping while on the sofa at home and I'm watching TV while patting him

Go shopping at an outlet mall, then on the way home we'd stop by the supermarket, but ingredients and cook together at home. Then we'll eat while watching TV and clean up together. That sort of normal day sort of date is ideal

5. Your memories of your first love
I liked the girl who would sit next to me on the bus while in kindergarten. I remember her laughing a lot and being cute. But she talked a lot and she was probably a bit strong willed?

6. At what age and with what sort of person do you want to get married?
I ant to marry a family orientated person by 33. A person who will be at home is ideal. Our home is a store, so when I was young it was like there were a lot of caretakers, that impression of it strong and I want to make a family when someone will say "Welcome home" when you get home. I'm 27 right now, and by the time I'm 30 I'll be properly creating "myself" and then in about 3 years things will probably be settled down so, 33 years old. My desire to get married is really strong. To the point that I think I'll be the first to get married in NEWS (laugh)

A friend who got transferred for work to another area came home so we all got together and went out to eat. Because my friend that I told about releasing a book and discussed it with was there too. 17. What you want most right now Guitar. Right now I'm using the guitar that I used as a pro for the stage play "rokugatsu no bitter orange". When I get better and pracise more, I want a new one. I'm checking out a lot of things, thinking that the guitar that Hanaregumi-san uses is pretty good too
18. Your treasured item As expected, it's my friends and family. I recently spent new years with my family. I didn't have time to go back home so my parents brought New Years dishes and came to my place. I got to ask my dad what he thought about my book and I'm glad I spent the new year well.

Shige -> Isn't it the Shoyu Ramen and gyoza? Anything you eat will taste good but what I recommend is the chilled chinese noodles in the summer. They're simple and taste really really good!

Tego -> "I don't know how to connect with Jun-kun". Acting with one of your sniors makes you feel nervous at first. When I acted with Nagase-kun and Koki-kun for My Boss My Hero, at first I didn't know how I should go about to connect with them. I found out that they're both really nice and funny people so I felt relieved.
Massu-> He'd be worrying about "I wonder if it would be okay to go and eatthe sweets they have near the studio?" (laugh) I'd be the type to eat. I like the moist type cookies.
Shige -> He has someone acting as his kid so "How would I make myself seem like a father?"

Koyama's recent news
On New Years, the whole Koyama family got together and I gave all the kid relatives New Years money and for the first time in a while we all talked really excitedly, it felt like New Years. My grandma bought a Karaoke machine through mail order and was singing things like by Misora Hibari (laugh) Everyone was moving their head right and left to the beat while listening. So peaceful~ (laugh) Eh, me? They put in "Weeeek" but I politely refused (laugh) The count down concert was fun. It's something that we've just always normally participated in but I really felt the happiness of standing on that stage and backstage lots of the others said "Do you your best!". We need to put NEWS into action this year!

Shige's recent news
This is from a little while ago now but I was so moved at the countdown concert that I felt like crying. t made realise that I love standing on stage and it turned my switch on, thinking "Okay, we'll do this!". Right now it's slowly falling forward (laugh) But it makes me think that I need to show parts of myself that I haven't up until now....And by the time this issue of WU is out my book "Pink & Gray" will be out huh~ I've been doing a lot of interviews but, it's a novel, so there are a lot of magazines that are one's that I haven't experienced yet. The questions are all things I'm being asked for the first time, like "This part was influenced by OO wasn't it?". Thinking of the cover and the font was a first for me too so it was a good experience.

Massu's Recent news
I'm always the kind of person to not decide on new years goals. I don't really like pin pointing a place to stop. But since the new year has started, I've been leaving the house a bit earlier than I have to meet with people and going to have coffee at a cafe or going to the gym, am starting my days very well. So it made me think that this year I want to make my mornings like this a lot. This isn't something I decided on new years day, it's something that I've decided now, a while after the start of the year (laugh) I'm also continuing from last year and reading books. I received Shige's so I need to read him and tell him what I think. But writing a novel is pretty amazing. My emails are at most 2 lines and I frantically try to write stuff for Jweb (laugh)

Tegoshi's recent news
I'm going on location to Hawaii for "ItteQ". I basically love Japan most of the time, but hearing Hawaii it got me excited. And we have no filming on the arrival date and usually on this show we have no night locations so it seems like I'll have some free time as well. Going out to eat with staff at night is fun too. I guess that this year I'll be able to go to a lot of places and have you see different sides of me a lot. I also want to see you guys as NEWS! First we'll release a single, then album, then a tour...if it went like that it would be the best. We sang NEWS songs together for the first time in a while at Countdown but it had a fresh feel to it and was fun.

I'm doing this sort of work and I also have hobbies so a person who will forgive me for that is the number 1 condition. But I don't meant that I'm going to go off playing somewhere and leave my wife behind. I want to properly cherish our time together and go on a lot of dates as well! But I think it's good for each of us to have time to ourselves and to what we like. I think there's no need for us to restrain each other. And then, also a wife who's good at cooking. I can't really cook so if she would cook some delicious meals for me my tension would go up! If we could both be in the kitchen together with me helping her then it seems like we could have fun doing household things! I like spending time at home so I want to spend time having fun together. It's nice that there are a lot of illuminations in winter. On my first day off in a while, I spotted some illuminations it got me excited ☆ There were a lot of couples and just seeing them even brought a nice feeling to myself......it was that sort of day off.

I think that, as expected, being "kind" is important but I also want her to have her own opinions. My proposal would be "Please marry me". I want to say it at around the time my girlfriend would also be thinking ''Maybe it'll happen soon?" and make her happy. The place would be.....at home (laugh) When the two of us are just normally at home together ♥ When we get married, I'd want to be the kind of husband who's able to say "It's okay" in any situation. Guys needs to be as a strong as lions! When I'm asked what my type of girl is, what I answer firstly is "Yamatonadeshiko type" . A person who will be 3 steps behind me and take the back seat to me would be good. Also, I'd want her to call me "Shigeaki-san" and while my heart jumped I'd say "What?" kind of thing (embarrassed) This might sound like me being the domineering husband but I think it's like the situation of, in the end, me always getting everything rolling for my reliable girlfriend. Also if the way she moves is very courteous, with smooth gestures, then it'll make my heart jump a bit more. I'll do the cooking so it's fine. A girl will be supporting me is good. Because I want her to be by my side and, no matter what happens, I want her to tell me "It's okay". It doesn't mean that all my problems will be solved or that she'd be saving me, but her being my number one supporter would encourage me. I also want be her best supporter and with that it's very give & take. And then, a person who's bold! And I don't mean it to mean selfish. For example, when I go to a restaurant and I think that a spot is good I negotiate. Like "Is that spot next to the window where you can see the night scenery free?". So, when we go out and I'm about to say that, if she says that before I do it would be amazing! If we're going to our enjoy ourselves together, then being with someone who won't compromise and only wants the best will it much more fun I think. My 3rd condition is that she be at home. I feel like, even if I get home and am tired, if I hear the words "welcome home" I'd be able to smile. If everyday was like, I'd be putting in effort to get home early everyday!

I have my proposal decided. Any place is fine but a park where you can see the ocean or something would be good. [ A teen park date where we'd talk until the day ends]
When I was in elementary school, I often had dates at the park. I say they were dates but it was just me stopping by the park on the way home from school to talk to the girl I like. A lot of friends from the same school would be there as well but I'd just be talking to that same girl the whole time. I'm really easy to read and everyone around me could easily tell when I liked a girl. I don't remember at all what we talked about but either way, we were just talking the whole time. At the time we didn't have cell phones or emails so all we had was the time we had to meet up. I had no idea if that girl liked me as well but in elementary school people who were fast at running were popular right? In elementary school I was the one with the best reflexes, so I was pretty popular. But in middle school, the funny people start being popular. was also aiming to be "a person who's fast and funny" but it didn't work out and in the end I was just the guy who could run fast (laugh)

[When something occurs to her, taking instant action! That sort of travel date in the 20's]
The type of girl I like, hasn't ever changed. Someone who's kind, clean, can take others into consideration, speaks politely and how should I put it.....someone who's inside of their body is clean. Someone who seems like they eat a whole lot of vegetables (laugh) On the other hand, what has most changed from when I was in my teens is that my range of activities has gotten wider. If I was to go on a date right now, I'd want to boldly try and go on a trip. I'd take my girlfriend anywhere she said she wanted to go. It's fine if it's somewhere nearby like a hot spring and it's fine even if it's going to Hokkaido just to eat sushi. If she told me that anywhere is fine, I'd take her to Sweden, which I love. Rather than just then going all out sight seeing, I'd want to just wander around the streets and then stopping by a clothing store I like and coordinating my girlfriends clothes for her. Of course, I still like park dates too. I'd want my girlfriend to make and bring a bento lunch box. It would amazing if she had onigiri, tamagoyaki, octopus shaped sausages* and asparagus wrapped in bacon~

What's ideal would be being a married couple that can hold hands no matter what age we are. I want the two of us to be able to do the park date from my teens and to really do the traveling date as well. I have an interest in world heritage sites so before I reach 60, I want to conquer all of the famous places, like Sagrada Familia and the Great Wall of China!

[An innocent ten amusement park date]
In my teens, I didn't have the option to go on a drive or going to a bar with nice night scenery and drinking wine. So that's why I thought that even though we didn't have a car or alcohol, a date where we could have a lot of fun was good. Which means an amusement park date! We'd go to the amusement park first thing in the morning and go on a lot of rides and eat and just have fun. And when it get's dark, it would be embarrassing but I'd pluck up the courage and hold hands with her. I'm the type to not say anything and just grab hold of her hand. Or possibly, when I say "Let's ride that next" I'd naturally reach out for her hand. At the time, if I had a girlfriend I thought that I'd want to be with her everyday and I really yearned to get married.

[A lovey dovey snowboard date in the 20's]
My basis of wanting to have fun with the girl I like hasn't changed from my teens. But my options have increased. If I was to go on a date right now, I want to go snowboarding. We'd go with friends that are couples and at first we'd all be boarding together and then half way through we'd split up into our couples. While hitting each other snow, we'd be all "Hey, stop it~", "You stop it!" and then falling into the snow while hugging....It seems so fun! I'm completely fine with being all lovey dovey infront of people. Recently when I went to Europe for work, couples were just kissing in the middle of the street. I was soooo jealous of that. If I were to choose one, I think I'm more of the type to do that (laugh) Like that, we'd enjoy our date together but if we were together everyday then it seems like I'd end up seeing parts of my girlfriend that I'll end up disliking so meeting at a pace of once a week is best. In my teens I was yearning to get married but right now my desire to get married is zero. I still want to keep being an idol and doing soccer so I'll leave that for more into the future.

I wouldn't just want to settle down just because I've gotten older. Even when we're both old, we'd still be holding hands and hugging. I definitely wouldn't say "We're not at an age where we shouldn't be doing that". Weather it's table tennis, or tennis or bowling, I'd want us to find a common hobby and do it together~

[A refreshing teen school date]
When I was in middle school, just calling the girl I liked to come behind gym after school and just talking to her was fun. There were times where we talked for the whole 3 hours until the school gates closed. I would drop that girl off at her house after school but about 20m away from her house I plucked up the courage and asked "Can I hold your hand?". I feel like I held her hand while my heart was beating really fast and just with that, it was a big happening (laugh) But we got to her place right away and said bye. It's such a refreshing date. I think that at the time I didn't even really understand what the meaning of dating actually was. If I had a girlfriend right now, I think I'd want us to have a relationship where we support each other but at the time it was just the two of us coming together because I liked her.

[A frank night dinner in the 20's]
I like frank and casual dates. Thats why if I was to go on a date right now, I'd just normally invite her out to eat after work. At first, something like Teppanyaki or nabe or shabu shabu would be good. If we both have some things to do while eating then it won't be so formal right. So that she'll be able to get to know me, I'd take to a restaurant that I always go to and if there's a place that she wants to go to then we'll make our next date there. Doing that we can lessen the distance between us while eating right? The date would be frank but I'd properly do all the escorting that I have to do. If I go pick her up by car I'd open the passengers side door for her and I'd put her seat belt on for her and I'd adjust the seat for her, I'd be completely devoted. I'm not a butler but I feel like I'd want to coordinate everything for the girl I like and I think like myself best when I' doing my best for something.

[A sunday family loving date in the 40's]
My parents were always both busy with work so I always yearned for those normal Sundays spent at home as a family. When I'm in my 40's I'd want to spend my days off with my wife and kids. Doing things like going out to a home centre together or going somewhere a bit far. When we go out, I'd hold hands with my wife even in front of the kids.If my kids said something like "My mama and papa are really close", I'd feel kind of happy~

[A teen bowling date, wanting to overstretch myself but not being able to]
For a teen date, it would have to be just the cliche meeting in front of the Hachiko statue, then go bowling then take purikura, that sort of thing. Lunch would be omurice! I wouldn't have known many stores so I would want to try and avoid getting really annoyed trying to figure out if we should go for ramen or curry. In your teens you end up making lots of mistakes with clothes too~ Like putting on a lot of jangling accessories. Because those are the years where you want to overstretch yourself. You'd definitely be very conscious of wanting to get that girl to like you so you'd do your best. If it was right now, and I thought that the girl would dislike me, then I'd just think that I wouldn't match with her though.

[A somewhat different 20's driving date]
If I was to go on a date right now, first I'd go and pick her up in my car right. When we arrive at our destination, we can just wander around shopping. And if we get tired it can expand into us stopping by a cafe or going to watch a movie....wow, it's really ordinary (laugh) But I think that it really would be like that. I'd also want to drink alcohol at night so we'd go home to drop the car off there and then go out to eat by taxi. On the way home from the date, I can't just ask her to be a replacement driver for me can I. That, or if we were going out by car, we'd go to a service area at a motorway. I'd say "Apparently Ebina** got really nice". To be able to do that, going on the freeway seems pretty extravagant right?

As we get older, I want us to be able to enjoy one thing together, like going to ceramics classes. I'd go along with what my partner wants to do too. I wonder what....like Yoga. It wouldn't suit me~ (laugh) Well, if it's impossible then having a relationship where I could normally say something like "I'm going to go shopping until you finish" would be nice. A natural relationship where we can respect each other is ideal. Also, I want us to have a pet as a married couple! I'd have something like a squirrel monkey and my wife can have a dog. Then the monkey and the dog can get along and people can say "Even though it's like a cat & dog relationship~****" When we're in our 60's, it would be nice if my wife was the type of person that had a sense of normally wearing a kimono. Also, I want to be spoken to with keigo. Her way of calling me would be "Shigeaki-san". Like that, it makes it seem like we still have a bit of nervousness towards each other right. Because I'd probably be the dominant husband. Follow along with me about 3 steps behind!

You don't even have any interest in knowing about everyone's private lives (laugh) I'm basically just always sleeping. But just doing that, I end up wasting my long-awaited say off so I end up waking up after 6 hours but if I do that then I take a nap in the afternoon. Something like splitting it into 2~3 times a day, 1 hour each. In other words, I'm just always sleepy in my private time (laugh)

I'm making Massu's answer the best answer. His hobby being clothes is just what I expected. I wonder just how much clothes Massu actually has in his closet? I want to see it. Coincidentally, I got shopping once and buy all the clothes I'll wear for that season in one go. Which means that with 4 seasons, I only go shopping 4 times in a year. Me and Massu are both two opposite ends of the extremes. But, recently, just me and Massu went out to eat together for the first time in a really long time. This is probably about the 2nd time that we've eaten just the two of us since we've been in our 20's. There are times where we go out to eat before a Tegomasu tour or going out as NEWS but there's never really any time it's just me and Massu. At first I wasn't used to it and in my heart I felt nervous. But while drinking, the nervousness went away and I feel like we got to talk about a lot of things. We were in a store that had karaoke as well so we sang "Fighting Man" together (laugh) It made me think that sometimes spending time together just the 2 of us like this is good.

In my opinion, Nishikido-kun's "A person with courage" is close but I'll make Massu's one the best answer. Because he has the sense of a story in his answer (laugh) The first time I ever ate soft shelled turtle was 2 years ago. Yamashita-kun invited me and we went to eat. I had no opposition to it at all and it just normally tasted good. I'm basically usually good with eating strange things. What I'm not good with is pumpkin and Japanese confectionary. And I recently realised that I hate avocado too. That sweetness and the un ripeness of it comes into my area of dislike (laugh)

I want to be thought of as cool by the girl I like but actually doing something or doing my best to try and get her to think that way is embarrassing. That’s why, I probably wouldn’t change too much if I was in love. It’s the first date for us dating. Dinner would be beef stew and while it’s cooking I’d want us to talk.

Rather than sweets, I’d want to be devoted to my sweet girlfriend!

I love sweets so my dream is to go to a cake buffet on a date! I’d also want my girlfriend to eat a lot of cake. Not just limited to cake, but seeing a girl who eats a lot makes me feel good and makes me feel like she’s showing me her true self. That’s why, even if you eat 10 small cakes it’s completely ok (laugh) If she was to make something by hand for me, an apple pie would make me happy! It’s hard to make but, her making it for me shows that she’s trying her best. A girl that can make apple pie really well….sort of make my heart jump (laugh)

I think I’m a bad guy when it comes to love (laugh) I’d want to become the perfect boyfriend and I think I’d be just focussing on my girlfriend. If she said to me ‘I want to see you’ or ‘come pick me up’ I’d probably go even if I was tired. I’m the type who things that I’m happy when I’ve being devoted to someone. But I also think that I’d want my own time (laugh) It’s a bit contradictory, but it would be ideal if we each have our own time as well. Because I think that the more we’re apart, the more you end up thinking about the other person.

When in love, I’d be overreaching myself a bit more than usual

Even if I’m in front of the girl I like, I don‘t want to change much from how I usually am. Because if you act too cool then that just becomes pressure on yourself later. I’d probably only overreach from my usually self a little bit. Like not going to a ramen shop on our first date (laugh)

Also, I guess I’d become a bit gentlemanly. I’d want to do things like go pick her up and drop her off at home when we go on dates and if we’re at a store I’d want to open the door for her. I’m so nice (laugh) But I wouldn’t like it if that all turned into something that I just naturally need to do. A girl who’s modest would be good. That’s why even if we become lovers, ‘Good manners even between friends’ is a rule. Between 2 lovers, it’s still a relationship between a person and a person so things like greetings and being grateful are important. If she can think about the TPO and is proper and with common sense then it’s ok.

I think that love feels like it’s like a typhoon. It happens suddenly and then it’s all around me and like the eye of a typhoon it all becomes calm for a moment but in the end it just goes away (cry) And then it goes and changes its name again…..just joking (laugh)

I’ll become my girlfriend’s stylist ♥

For our first shopping date, of course, I’d go and pick her up in the morning! I’m completely fine with going along with her shopping as well! I’d even hold her bags and I’d become my girlfriend’s stylist~ Choosing pair accessories together is good too. Any date with the girl I like would be fun, so anything is fine (laugh) But I’m not good with being flirty outside. Because I’m already an adult (laugh) Being affectionate is saved for when it’s just the 2 of us ♥

Even if I’m in love, I’d want to be my usual self. Of course, I want to be kind to my girlfriend and I want to care about her, but I don’t really have any particular way that I want to be seen. But ‘cool’ or ‘cute’ are both good. They’re things that don’t really have a distinct form, so they can have a lot of different aspects. What’s important besides appearances is your feelings so when in love ‘Don’t tell lies’ is an inviolable rule. I’d make sure not to tell lies and I’d trust my partner! It’s hard but, I think that if you can trust them then nothing is scary.

Appeal with part maturity and part mischievous

I want to be called ‘mature’ by my girlfriend so I’d want to do enough preparation for her birthday and make it perfect. What’s definitely necessary is a ‘surprise’! About half a year beforehand I’ll search for things that she wants amongst all the things she talks about and I’d have that ready before the date. If I was to write a message card then I’d probably choose sweet words to write. I’d make reservations at a restaurant that has food that my girlfriend likes and we’d spend time just the 2 of us. The main point up until there is showing myself as a ‘mature man’. And then when we move onto the 2nd place…!! In the store a lot of the people important to my girlfriend are there and we’d all have a surprise party together. I think I’d feel happy just seeing my girlfriend’s happy face. It’s not a rule but I think that love is trying to make your partner happy. With movies and shopping as well, rather than what I want myself, I’d want to listen to what she wants and enjoy ourselves together. Also, this is going way ahead but married life while in love is what I yearn for. Even if we have kids, if I’m called ‘Shigeaki-san’ my tension would go up, definitely (laugh)

They all get a shoot with a different animal! :D Tegoshi talks about how lucky he is for having had Tinii there during tough times, the story about how Massu started to find dog cute and not scary, Koyama wanting a pet Leopard, Shige’s thinking about buying a monkey, Yamapi wants to go to Africa to see animals and Ryo gives us a lesson on lions.

Plus, the members all say what sort of animal they think the others resemble :)

Tegoshi

• When I was in elementary school, I honestly had no interest in animals…I was busy with soccer and entrance exams and so I didn’t have free time for other things and I guess it was just that I was allowed to touch the pets my friends had at their houses. But one day after my middle school entrance exams ended, I fell in love at first sight with a dog in a pet shop. That dog is the Papillion Tinii that I still have at my family home. She was so cute that I got out all the money I had saved up from new years money and payed for her myself. Going that far was because I wanted her no matter what. Since then I’ve always shared time together with Tinii. Around the time where I had just started this job, I wasn’t familiar with the entertainment business and there were tough days and days where I cried. At those times, Tinii would just walk over to me and sit next to me. Me and Tinii would just quietly sit next to each other but just with that I felt like I was encouraged and felt comforted. I really feel from my heart that I’m glad that Tinii was there!

• A toy poodle named Skull has been part of my family now since Autumn of last year. Right now, she’s about 6 months old and weighs just 1kg. He’s a really small boy. Living by myself gets lonely but since we’ve been living together everyday has been fun! When I feel happiest is when we’re both having an afternoon nap together. When I lie face down on the floor and am wanting to roll over he just comes onto my back and falls asleep like that. I complain and say thing like ‘You know if you get on my back I can’t move right?’ but I’d feel bad waking him up so I just stay like that until I can’t take it anymore. The most I probably stayed like that was an hour….As expected it was tough. It wasn’t like I was doing nothing while lying there though, I was playing games (laugh) Actually right now, me and skull are separated. Filming for the drama ‘Deka wanko’ has started and I completely can’t predict what time work is going to end so he’s temporarily with my parents. I get skull brought over to me once a week so I really look forward to that day! Even Skull looks happy when we see each other after such a long time~

Massu

• When I was in kindergarten I was chased by a dog in the neighbourhood and it hit me with it’s forelimbs. After that I’ve been really bad when it comes to all animals….or rather, I was scared. My mum says ‘Because of that, Takahisa became able to run faster~’ though (laugh) But in the last 3~4 years, that way of thinking has started to change little by little. Even though a long time ago I would look at animals and think that they were scary or that I didn’t like them, I became able to actually think of them as cute. There’s a customer that brings a miniature Dachshund to this clothes store that I often go to. At first I thought that it was scary but there was a time where it was running around the store and it missed turning a corner properly and it’s butt bumped into my leg. It’s body was longer than I thought it would be (laugh) Seeing that, I thought it was cute…To the point that lately I’ve been thinking that I want to own a Mini Dachshund. If I owned a dog I’d want to wake up early every morning and take it for a walk!

• I’m often told by the members ‘Massu, you’re pig like’…I’m not saying this is why, but I’ve liked pigs from a long time ago. I think they’re cute and for some reason they just attract me. But up until now, I’ve never actually gotten to interact with one. I was happy I got to meet one in the photoshoot today~ I thought it would be a bit more fierce but it warmed up to me right away. He ate the food I had for him ♥ Well, am not really sure if he was coming to me or the food though (laugh)

• My type of girl is someone who has a cat-like atmosphere and a dog-like personality. When you just look at her a bit she seems like she just does whatever she likes but then you notice that she’s really friendly to people. I guess that I’m more dog-like~ Because I basically don’t get shy. I mean, if you don’t just try and talk then you don’t know if you can get a long or not. They say that you vaguely decide on your impression on a person after you first meet them. That’s why you probably need some courage but if you properly greet them and look at their eyes when you talk to them, if you do those sorts of basic things then you can’t leave a bad impression. Even though you talk like you’re really having fun with the people you know, if you talk to people you meet for the first time like you’re not social it’s just a waste! Lets all aim tp be a dog-type, wan (woof)~

Koyama

• It’s been 14 years since I’ve been living with my cat Nyanta. Right at the beginning he was a stray cat at my sisters school and it started with my sister feeling sorry for it and bringing him home. He was just a kitten so it seemed like it’s parents died and it was sad. He right away got used to the idea of us being family. Nyanta often just sticks close to me. At night when I get into my futon, he comes on top of the futon and just falls asleep. In the morning we even wake up at the same time. But I’m not saying that we’re constantly together. There are times where he’s like ‘Just leave me alone’ so at those times I just leave him alone. Being together for 14 years, I can pretty much tell what Nyanta is thinking. If I let him do what he wants to do right now, then I’m happy too.

• When I was 5 years old, I was taken to a zoo in Hawaii. There was this corner where you could climb these stairs up to the height of a giraffe’s neck and I remember climbing right up to the top. I could see the face of a giraffe right in front of me and I was surprised! Even though I was that small, I remember feeling moved, thinking ‘So a giraffe can gaze at the scenery from such a high up place’. Lately, in Japan they’ve been showing animals while matching them with their own ecosystems a lot more. Recently when I got to do an interview at ueno zoo, there was a rope going from the inside of the sloth enclosure to a tree outside and the sloth is able to get up close to the people. For the sloth, whose nails make it hard for it to move, It can get around like this and not need to run away. That’s why they say that they can make this happen. Having these sort of enclosures for animals lets you get to know them more and it’s fun!

• Amongst all the different types of animals, the one that I’m most curious about is those in the cat family. The one I’m most interested in is the Leopard! It’s speed and it’s strength are part of it’s charm but more than anything its leopard prints are cool! I want to put a collar on it and take it for a walk so everyone can see. Because it’s a carnivore it’s quite scary so you can’t really keep one as a pet but if they could come up a special cat food for it and the worries about food and it’s ferocity would go away, then I’d definitely want to own one!

• I want to try owning a pet besides a dog or a cat. An owl is also one of the animals that I’ve been interested in for a while. It’s sleeping face is really cute and lovely but when you look at it from the front it has this image of being ferocious and it’s probably the one I like best out of all birds. It eats bugs and it’s nocturnal which means we wouldn’t be able to play around in the afternoon so I gave up on owning one though. But owls are amazing you know!? It’s neck can turn 360 degrees and it’s wings are known as ‘wings that can cut through wind’ and it can fly really silently. Apparently those features were used in bullet trains. Which means that the owl helped out with Japan’s counter measures for noise!! Also, I want to own a monkey called a Pygmy slow loris!! Right now it’s banned to import them into Japan so owning one would be a bit hard but I found a common squirrel monkey on the home page of a pet shop and I’m wondering if I should own one or not. It’s the same for an owl and a monkey, but an animal that responds would be good. You’d want to confirm that you love each other ♥ The turtle that my mum used to own before, you stopped being able to tell it’s feelings half way through (laugh)

• The pet I have at home is a Miniature Dachshund called Nana (female). I was given one of the puppies born over at the Yoko (Wataru) ‘s place but at the time I was discussing with my dad saying ‘When it dies it’s going to tough though’. But I wanted to keep it no matter what so I brought her home. Nana is going to be 8 years old on the 25/1~ In human years that’s close to 50 so lately she’s started to get old. According to my mum, her strength to jump has gone down and she randomly farts in her sleep. It’s like having an old lady there (laugh) Nana is really friendly with people. She goes past the normal amount of friendliness from a person and she keeps licking the faces of people when she first meets them. Koyama and even Tegoshi had that same damage done to them. On the other hand, she’s more friendly with people she meets for the first time so when I come home after a long time she jumps up and down but after 5 minutes she’s back into her own world. Well, being together for 8 years we’re completely family so that’s expected though. Seeing Nana is one of the things I look forward to when I come back home so I want her to always be healthy!

• This is my first time ever having a squirrel monkey on me, but this kid is completely not shy (laugh) It’s cute, but it surprised me….If I’m quiet he’ll just climb onto my head and he’s really curious! I thought this when looking and this kid, but I’m really like a monkey. I can’t keep still. I’m bad at staying in 1 place for a long time. If I’m going to be in the studio for a shoot all day from the morning, if I have even a bit of free time I do things like go karaoke to refresh my mood. When I can’t go outside there’s nothing else to do but sleep though (laugh)

• I think there were times when I went to the zoo as a kid but I don’t remember them well. Right now I don’t get chances to go to the zoo but if I wanted to see animals then I’d go somewhere like the African Savannah and see wild animals. A herd of buffalo probably have a lot of strength. The animal I like is the white tiger. The reason is because it’s kind of cool (laugh) Also because of it’s cool personality.

• The Miniature Dachshund that I have a home called P, I’ve had him since I was in my 3rd year of middle school. I got a puppy from my friends place and I had Takizawa-kun give it a name. Because my name is Yamapi he apparently wanted to call it something like Beat TakePi or Antonia inoPi but in the end it was just P. The other one, Hime, my mum got without me knowing. Seems like she thought that P would get lonely. At first she was called Choco, but my mum kept calling her Hime and in the end she’d only respond if you called her Hime so her name turned into Hime. P is already 10 years old and P is 9 probably. They’re a grandpa and a grandma. I think this whenever I see my dogs but they really are my family. Whatever happens, they’re just always by your side. Just them being there is enough. Just looking at their faces when it’s time for them to eat is fun. I wonder if own personalities are alike? P usually never barks but when he’s with Hime he parks at people he doesn’t know. He might be thinking that because he’s with a girl and he’s a guy he needs to protect her. He doesn’t fight for himself but when it’s to protect someone he does. That sort of thing, as a guy, I look up to.

• When I was in my 1st year of elementary school, I came home one day and there was this small dog in front of my house. I was scared and couldn’t go into the house so I waited the whole time for my older brother to come home. At the time, I don’t really know, but I was often chased by this dog when going into school so I was a bit bad with dogs. My brother drove it away so that day was fine but the next day when I came back from school it was there again. While my brother was feeding it, I became able to touch it and I said ‘Lets keep it at home’ but my mum said ‘Definitely not’. Then in the end, it turned into ‘Ok, if it’s still in front of our house again tomorrow we can keep it’ and it was there again the next day so we kept it. But, I only heard about this recently, on that morning of the day we got to keep it, my dad went out looking for that dog. My mum kept it a secret for us kids. He’s a wonderful dad right? We named it ‘Chibi’ because it was so small. We normally kept it outside but only during typhoons we’d let Chibi in up to the entrance only which was good. Back then I used to play with it all the time. My mum hated dogs so we couldn’t bring it inside but even my mum had now gotten used to the dogs I own now when she’s 50. Recently she was saying ‘we should have let Chibi into the house~’

• I go to zoo’s often even now. Animals like Hyenas are really cool! They have this bad image of snatching people’s food but they’re really big. At home I like watching animal shows on the discovery channel and watching DVD’s with only lions in them. The lions form a pride and usually for 2 males they have about 10 females. The uneasy males who can’t form a pride are nomads. Those nomads fight with the males of the pride and if the nomads win they get the pride for themselves. I’m really interested in that dominating sort of lifestyle. But tigers are cooler than lions. If you put a lion and a tiger together, I’m sure the tiger would be stronger. Roughly there are about 4 types of lions but the one I like is the Amur tiger. I want to try tame one like a zoo keeper!

An interview from a few years back! Ryo talks about his DV role on ‘Last Friends’, how he has the biggest appetite in NEWS and can eat A LOT and still be able to move around afterwards XD Also how he became Massu’s hero (in his own mind only, but still lol), how Yamapi makes it hard for Ryo to point things out and Ryo is being accused of something so he decides to clear it up~ ahaha

[An Adventure]
If I were to say something from recently, me playing a role with domestic violence in the drama “Last Friends” is a big adventure for me. In “Isshun no kaze~” I played a character who supported the main character from behind the shadows but this time….it’s more I’m hurting her behind the shadows. No matter what the production is I always think “this is my turning point” but this time I really feel like this character is going to be just that. At first when I heard that I’d be playing this DV character, I wasn’t thinking about how I might be portrayed to other people but I thought “Uwa, I want to try acting that”. When people like Pi and stuff heard about my character they said “No way~ It seems hard” but, well, it’s just the character, I’m not saying that after this I’m going to be living my life like that person (laugh)

[Cycle Stories]
A Nishikido Ryo story is that I ate a lot….I have nothing more to talk about than that. These are things that I’ve already talked about here and there but is it ok? Umm~ this was probably 4 years from now, I ate 2 large servings of fried rice, chilli prawns, karaage, Gyoza, fried egg and crab, spring rolls, ramen and then at the end I ate fried rice again. Usually I would just eat fried rice and possibly ramen but for some reason, on that day I was really hungry (laugh) And then when I finished eating, not being able to move on a full stomach…..didn’t happen, and instead I played air hockey (laugh) I think that I’m probably the one with the biggest appetite in NEWS. Saying that, I realized today but today I had 3 shoots for idol magazines but at every single venue there was kaarage. They’re probably thinking “We need to have Kaarage there for this guy” (laugh) Well…they’re half right (laugh)

[Hero]
Recently, when we had the NEWS dome concert, I became Massu’s hero. The lifter that he was on had stopped going down and from up there he had a panicked face. And until it started moving again, the young man Nishikido waited for him at the bottom the whole time. But it was pretty much for my own self satisfaction and I think that Massu probably didn’t even notice (laugh) And I’ve said a lot of times before but Pi got his standing position wrong again~ But what’s amazing about him is that he lets out this aura of “I’m not the one that’s wrong”. If he does something badly, then he makes it seem like it’s the other person who’s at fault. And him being like that makes me really not like having to point it out (laugh)

[Recently]
This is from a little while ago but when we were on “Music Station” for ‘Taiyou no Namida’, there was the incident where I was the only one who didn’t get sprayed with water. There were doubts as to whether or not I was just avoiding the water but those are completely false accusations! It really was not raining only above me. Half way through I thought “huh?” and was looking up. I’m such a shifty guy!? (laugh)

The members talk about certain rules they follow! Massu likes leaving things last minute, Tegoshi is completely against believing rumours, Ryo wants to rearrange the days of the week, Shige is dissatisfied with supermarkets and Koyama’s eating so he can gain weight.

I should try not to ever say ‘I’m busy’!
No matter how busy I am, I make sure never to say the word “busy”. I’m usually thinking that it’s better for me to actually get more busy and I actually prefer having to be busy with work. I’m the type of person that’s fine not having to sleep all that much. But as expected, if I had to go for 1 month on only an average of 3 hours of sleep I’d be unsteady though (laugh) Even during breaks at work and when in transportation for work, I don’t sleep all that much. Sometimes when I’m dozing off and am woken up by one of the staff it makes me think ‘Oh no, I feel asleep!’. For me, sleeping = turning off my switch so during work I don’t want to show myself at that point of 0, definitely.

I should eat bread in the mornings!
As long as I can remember, breakfast at home has been bread. Apparently a long time ago we’d eat rice and miso soup but then apparently one day my dad just suddenly said “From now on we’ll eat western food!” (laugh) That’s why as a kid when I’d sometimes go to my grandmas place and we’d “The Japanese breakfast” of rice and miso soup and grilled fish and I could feel that it completely tasted great~ Ah, but when I go to stay at a hotel I love eating gutsy type food at the buffets like bread and soup and scrambled eggs. Probably if it’s a large quantity it’s ok (laugh)

I should send simultaneous texts!
I have 6 friends in my home town and when I text those guys I send them all simultaneously. At work when I don’t check my cell phone for a long time and then go and check it and then it’ll say “24 unread mails”. It makes me think “Uwa, what happened? An emergency!?” and I read them in a panic and then it just turns out to be 2 friends out of the 6 texting each other endlessly about trivial things, that often happens. . .

I should match checked patterns with checked patterns!
Matching a patterned top with a patterned bottom, like polka dots and stripes, is hard right? But recently I’ve noticed that matching checked patterns with checked patterns is really good. When we went on “HEY HEY HEY!” as Tegomasu I wore a completely checked pattern outfit (actually, my socks were also checked pattern) and I got completely made fun of by Downtown-san though (laugh)

I should do everything at the last minute!
For work, I wake up 2 hours before hand. But I just laze around for the first hour and then in the last 30 minutes I panic and get ready. For summer holiday homework too, I would do only a bit at the start and then do all the rest in the last 2 days. Basically, I’m like that with everything. When I go eat with my friends, it’s like I’ll eat if it’s Shime nozosui (laugh) (*Japanese soup porridge dish eaten at the end of a meal)

Tegoshi

I should take my vitamins before I sleep!
At night, before I get into my futon I always make sure to take my vitamins and then sleep. I started taking them because my mum recommended them so that I won’t lack nutrition. It’s not like I’ll see the results after I open my eyes but I’ll keep taking them as a custom from now on.

I shouldn’t say something’s impossible before I do it!
I definitely don’t want to say the word “I can’t do it” before I do something! If it’s too the point where you just don’t do it and think it’s impossible, then it’s better to just do it and fail. That failure can lead you to your next challenge but you can’t get anything from not doing something. At concerts, dancing while singing is quite hard. When I’m remembering choreography, the first thing I do is try to dance full on. Then, I go on like that and if it’s no good then I try to get more physical ability or to arrange the dance. I don’t lower the hurdle from the start.

I should eat fish rather than meat!
Lately, I’ve been more into fish than meat. Because there’s lots of nutritional value with fish and it’s good for your body. Meat has the image of having a lot of fat in it right? I’ve always liked meat and I was the type to go and eat Yakiniku as a treat for myself. But now, my main side dish is fish. Thanks to that, the condition of my body is really good.

I should make sure not to believe rumours!
Bad mouthing someone is, of course, not good but I can’t like people that tend to believe those kind of rumours right away. Even if there’s a bad rumour going around, you haven’t made sure of it yourself so you can’t know if it’s true or not! What can you know about that person just by hearing what others say about them? Everyone, believe the things that you see with your own eyes. Ok!!

I should respect manners!
I was made to have proper manners since I was a kid so I make sure to abide by them. Things like not having your elbow on the table while eating or not to eat while making loud noises. If there are people around me that don’t abide by them then I get interested. If a close friend was like that then I caution them about it right away. Because seeing someone do that isn’t good and he’d get harmed by not having those manners. Manners are important!

I should turn off my switch in my private time!
I never think that I want to be the same Tegoshi that’s in NEWS and Tegomasu during my private time. When I have work I have my work face on but when I’m off I don’t want to be an entertainer I just want to be 1 guy so I don’t even do my hair and I don’t pay any attention to my clothes~ I want to have no defences and have my switch off.

Yamapi

I should make sure not to be bound by rules!
I don’t make rules for myself. Saying that, I guess that’s a rule though. That’s all!!. . .I can’t just end it like that huh (laugh) But, even if I think about it, there’s nothing in my lifestyle that’s actually decided on. I don’t make any plans on my days off either. I’ll think about them after I’ve woken up. I eat the things that I want to eat at that moment and I go to the places that I want to go to at that moment and If I get invited out by friends I go with that. But when I feel like going back home I just say “See you” and go back home and if my friends seem like they’re going to go home I don’t try to hold them back. Living honestly with your feelings and what you want is the most important rule

I should live honestly without lying!
There are rule that I was told by my parents since I was a kid. Things like “You have to be home before the timer rings at 5pm”. I properly abided by them in elementary school. I don’t remember getting home late and having them be angry at me. But there have been times where I’ve lied and have gotten angry at. I’d do things like skip lessons but lie and say that I went. Penmanship, karate, abacus, I did a lot of lessons. I don’t really remember going to too many of those lessons though (bitter smile) But even now, I properly abide by the rule of not telling lies. Because I’m straightforward. Even when it comes to strangers, even when it comes to myself, I want to be straight forward. I’ll say the things that I think and will do a lot of the things that I want to do. I don’t want to lie to myself.

Unspoken rules should be ideal!
Amongst my close friends, we don’t say them, but we have unspoken rules. Since we were in elementary school the rule of “Even if we like the same person we won’t have a falling out!”. That sort of relationship is probably ideal. If all people can be connected with those unspoken rules, the world could probably be peaceful.

On my holidays I should fly overseas!
This is my wish (laugh) Because since summer of last year I’ve continued with 2 dramas and a movie so I want to try just standing still for a bit. Going to a town that I’ve never been to if fine too and going surfing at the beach, which I love, if fine too. Before I go, If I get a break I’ll decide. Because I have a personality that doesn’t want to be bounded (laugh)

Ryo

My curtains should be shades!
Every room in my house has shade curtains. I can’t sleep unless it’s completely dark and that of course applies to my bedroom and In the living room where I watch movies on a projector, if it’s not dark I can’t project them. The screen is about 200 inches. Playing actions games on that is really intense!

I should wake up 30 minutes before having to go out!
When I have work, I’m waken up by a phone call from my manager 30 minutes before I leave. I actually wake up 5 minutes before though (laugh) But when I’m going out to play I can wake up in 1 go! When I go for a day trip to go snowboarding I wake up at 4am but I’m completely fine. When I go on a trip too, I want to stay at the place for as long as possible so I’ll always definitely go on the first morning plane. Recently when I went to Okinawa I did that, The next day I woke up at 7am, ate breakfast, then went to the beach to wakeboard and then slept at 10pm. A really healthy life style (laugh)

I should drink at family ocassions!
For Nishikido-family family occasions, either way, we drink alcohol. But I’ve never seen any of the adults get drunk. They’re really strong so no matter how much they drink nothing changes. At my younger sisters wedding ceremony, Me, the adults and my mum were drinking from morning and in the afternoon me and my mum were kind of drunk and when I saw my sister as the bride I started crying but the adults were the only one’s who were completely normal.

We shouldn’t make rules up amongst friends!
There are no rules between me and my friends. If we just treat each other like people then nothing bad will happen so even though we behave freely we never fight. If it’s the guys that I’m close to, even if I randomly threw water at them they wouldn’t get angry. I think they’d just laugh while saying “What’re you doing~” (laugh)

I should get sunburnt in summer!
Every year, I definitely get sunburnt in summer! Yesterday I had work at a studio but the weather was good so I took a chair outside and sat there the whole time. Getting sunburn in summer is more healthy. Right now it’s only the start of summer but I’m already completely dark (laugh) For women, if they’re white or darker, either is fine. But a person who I can play around with outside when it’s summer would be good.

It should be ‘Monday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Friday’!
I hate Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday & Sunday, no matter where I go it’s crowded. So I want all days of the week to be weekdays and for there to be no holidays. I hate Golden Week too. For GW this year I didn’t go anywhere but work. Depending on the place, apparently they’ve got a dispersion plan but I completely support that.

I should spend 20 minutes in a 40degrees bath!
For me, I properly have bath rules and after I wash my head and body, I open the door, turn the light off, turn the TV in the bathroom on and spend 20 minutes in a 40degrees bath. From a long time ago I’ve been the type to use the bath tub but on a certain day when I was watching TV in the bath as always on “sekai ichi uketai jugyou” they said that “Being in a 40degree bath for 20 minutes is good for your body”. But I can’t say that I’ve only been measuring time since that day though. . .

When I get out of the bath I should clean the mirror and taps!
There are ‘scales’ (<- Dirt depending on the quicklime and washing materials in the water) on the mirror and taps after a bath right? I’ve been trying every way of getting rid of it possible, like using vinegar. But when it comes to results, the one with the best results is to clean them with a towel after getting out of the bath! It’s troublesome but it’s completely different just by doing that everyday.

I should try out various cleaning materials and seasonings!
It might just be that I don’t ever get something that makes me think ‘This again!’ but I’m the type to change washing products and hand soaps most of the time. Is I were to say more, I always enjoy trying out different seasonings. I probably finish using all of them but I just don’t know the right timing to us tamarijoyu (*a sauce). Even though it’s syrupy, recently when I thought of using it for the first time in a while, I couldn’t open the lid (laugh)

The after party should be at my house!
I go out with friends and when it turns into “So what do we do now?”, there’s often a pattern of me saying “Why don’t we go to my place?”. Amongst them there’s even some guys that miss the last train and wait for me to say those words (laugh) I like entertaining people rather than being entertained by them so if we’re going to be staying at someone’s place it’s better to just come to my place. Yesterday too, a few people came over to my place after my friend’s wedding ceremony and I prepared food for the people that were hungry. Also, because I invite people over periodically, I keep my room clean. All my friends are really shameless and they do things like open my closet and just normally say ‘Give me this clothes’. But at that time being told “It’s pretty clean~” it’s a pretty good feeling so I keep inviting them over (laugh)

Supermarkets should have vegetables portioned for 1 person!
The sizes of vegetables sold at supermarkets aren’t made for people living alone! They have things like ½ Daikon but I’m saying that I wan ¼! I’d even want them to sell garlic by breaking them apart into pieces. I’m really dissatisfied~ That’s why people who live a lone don’t cook for themselves. There are probably a lot of people that think the same way I do!

Koyama

I should clean right after coming home!
If I don’t clean right when I come home then I don’t go into home-mode. First I put back my wallet, accessories and lip cream, then laundry then giving Nyanta his food and cleaning the toilet then mop the floors then the cleaning machine, I do things in that order. I’ve always really liked cleaning! Making your home look clean feels really good. I even sometimes feel like cleaning other people’s houses by I hold back (laugh)

I should eat a whole lot before sleeping!
Before I would properly go to the gym but then if I don’t go for a while I lose about 5kg. So lately I’ve started going to the gym again. My goal is to gain 5kg before summer. I’ve already got 2kg so I just need 3kg more. What I’m doing to get to my goal weight is after eating past my max for dinner, I eat a whole lot before sleeping. I feel quite full after that but I squeeze in things like cheese, banana, protein, ham, those things. I have the type of body that’s hard to get fat with so eating is important!

I should reply to texts from my best friend from my heart!
I have a best friend from university and he really diligently sends me texts. But it’s been a few years where I haven’t been replying to that guy. No, I read all of his texts. But after I read them inside my head I think ‘Ok, got it~’. Kind of like I’m replying to it in my heart (laugh) But my friend always gets impatient and ends up calling me. Then there’s a pattern where I just say “What?” and he says “What do you mean ‘what’~?” (laugh)

In the mornings I should close my screen and sleep a second time!
My ability to wake up is really bad but lately I’ve been setting my alarm 1 hour then I wake up and close the screen on the window and then go back to sleep again. Spending that hour sleeping while being bathed in the sunlight makes me feel really happy~ At first when I wake up my head isn’t clear but from now on I’ll have 1 chance of recovery in my sleep. Thanks to that, I feel really clear when I wake up!

Every time I have a stage play I buy a new jersey!
From a long time ago, I decided that every time I’m going to be in a stage play I’ll buy a new jersey. I have all of the generations of jersey’s at home in a draw for personal use. Sometimes I look at them and remember about the play. For the 2 months of practise and the shows, all the blood and sweat that I put into the production was in that jersey. From now on, I’m intending to keep with that rule.

I like what Tegoshi said about the believing rumours, which is really true (But even though I don’t tend to actually BELIEVE the rumours I hear about people, I still can’t help but to associate those people with the rumours even though I don’t believe them?) NEWS The Television 1/10

The year is ending soon so NEWS is looking back on 2009~ Again, they talk about their tour and “24 hour TV”. It seems like they feel a bit unhappy with 24 Hour TV this year so they want to do it again another year~ And talk about “soukon” brings up how Yamapi and Ryo should join and, of course, Koyama never fails to bring up something to tease Shige with, and Koyama makes up a new word; “Tego-Kira~” lol There’s also a bit at the end where NEWS talk about things that they keep because they just can’t throw out~

A concert tour, “24 hour TV”, 2009 was a complete year!

NEWS, who started ’09 with their tour that had began the year before. With the number of total people coming to watch being an incredible 560,000 people!

Yamapi: It’s a really an amazing thing. Because, usually even in someone’s whole life, they wouldn’t get to meet 560,000 people right? (laugh)
Shige: That’s true. And we were able to experience having the New Years Eve concert and it felt like we were fully able to feel the grandness of Kinki Kids.
Ryo: The beginning of the new year and the end of the old year was really busy. It was so busy that I don’t really remember any of it~ (laugh)
Tegoshi: I clearly remember me dressing up as a high school girl (laugh) I was glad that people enjoyed themselves while leaving aside whether it suited me or not.
Koyama: All the members went out to eat as well. For me, that was fun!
Massu: That’s true, concerts are where we can truly communicate with the members. It’s a very important time for us.

Also, in 2009 you had activities as the main personalities of “24 hour TV”

Massu: After I finished my synchronised swimming we had to sing a NEWS song. I had to get out of the pool and get into the car while I was still soaked! In the end, I had to dry my hair with a towel, it was that busy.
Koyama: Even with that wasn’t it pretty close?
Massu: If we were 30 seconds later, we wouldn’t have made it to the place!
Tegoshi: That was quite dangerous~
Koyama: Nothing like that happened to me but before the actual show even stated I was overcome with emotion and cried (laugh)
Shige: That was fast~ Wasn’t it during Ryo-chan’s drama when everyone cried? I cried quite a lot for that.
Yamapi: I held in my tears (laugh)
Ryo: Is that so. And then, speaking of being moved, when Tegoshi hugged mayuge-san* at the goal. (*Mayuge= eyebrows)
Tegoshi: Imoto (Ayako) right? (laugh)
Ryo: It was really something. If I was offered to do the marathon. . . . it probably would have crushed me ♥ (Said in a cute way)
Tegoshi: Hahaha (laugh) But, Imoto really was great. I was moved while supporting her. She didn’t make it in time though.
Ryo: Yeah, I was surprised thinking “She really didn’t make it in time!?”. . .But, umm, rather than that this time we caused all of you trouble and made you worry. I want to try “24 hour TV” again someday
Yamapi: Including the rehearsals, it was 48 hours without sleep, which was pretty tough.
Koyama: Well, a lot of things happened but it was a good experience!
Massu: You concluded it well (laugh)

We want Yamashita-kun and Nishikido-kun to appear in “soukon” too (laugh)

2009 was also busy with many individual activities such as stage plays, dramas and solo concerts. Something you want to challenge in 2010 is?

Shige: Ah, I definitely want Yamashita-kun and Nishikido-kun to come to “soukon”!
Ryo: Ahh, I see, I want to be in it too! But I’m bad at marathons though
Yamapi: I’m bad at them too
Koyama: No, it’s fine! Because we already have someone like Kato-san, who’s running is completely bad (laugh)
Everyone: (laugh)
Shige: But Yamashita-kun, you’ve done a half marathon before haven’t you?
Yamapi: Ah, I have. I did it when I was in elementary school. Ryo-chan also ran it didn’t you?
Ryo: Was it in Hawaii? Ah~ I did run in it. We ran it for a show in our junior days called “8ji da J”.
Yamapi: Maru (From Kanjani8) came first didn’t he? (laugh)
Ryo: I came like second last or something
Shige: But I think just that you ran the race is pretty great though.
Ryo: Ok, then I’ll try my best do that I can overtake Shige~
Yamapi: Me too then~
Shige: It’s not a show where we have to try and overtake each other
Ryo + Yamapi: Ok (laugh)

In 2010 “Tego-kira” will be powerful!?”

Koyama: But, in 2009 we did a lot of individual activities so I want to leave something that we’ve done as the 6 of us in 2010.
Massu: That’s right~ I want to put together everything we’ve tried our best to do in ’09 and make one big thing in ’10!
Tegoshi: Because when we’re together a very power is born right
Koyama: That’s right. For example, in “Dream Boys” Tegoshi was really shinning (Kira kira) so that “Tego-Kira” will become power.
Tegoshi: What is “Tego-Kira” actually? (laugh)
Massu: Either way, I definitely want to have a concert tour.
Yamapi: That’s right~ I want a lot of people to come again.
Shige: 2009’s NEWS started with a concert so I want to try my best for a concert in 2010!
Ryo: That’s right
Tegoshi: “The show must go on”! (*said in english lol)
Koyama: Oh! You said a good thing there (laugh)

Treasures from home! My tiger child item!

Yamapi
I think that I always wanted to keep my certificates and trophies. In my 5th year of elementary school I was runner up in a karate tournament and I still have the medal that I won there in my desk draw.

As expected, the glove which I used everyday for the 8 years that I played baseball. It kind of smells now though (laugh) But it’s soft and it’s easy to catch things with.

I don’t really have things that I think that I can’t throw away~ I throw most of my things away. Things that I think I need and won’t throw away are probably things like my graduation album and stuff. Everyone keeps their albums right.

I don’t throw away scripts. I look at it so I can remember a staff person’s name if we end up working together at the same place again (laugh) But I also re-read them sometimes so I can look back on the production

My mini 4-wheel-drives. I used them when I was in elementary school but even know I haven’t thrown them out and they’re still at home. It’s a toy that reminds me of my childhood. Mini 4-wheel-drives aren’t popular again are they~ (laugh)

Things like my Kamen Rider figure. And my Sailor Moon videos (laugh) I have all the anime that I watched in kindergarten on video. So, I think that I still have them now.

The interview starts with Tegomasu being too into the food menu which then leads to the other members not being able to decide what to order to eat XD They look back on the year 2009 and look forward to next year~ And it’s obvious that Ryo’s been going to the movies because he really believes that the world is going to end in 2012. . .

TV PIA

-(We interrupted while Tegoshi and Masuda were choosing from the food menu and started the interview) Firstly, the thing that left an impression on you in 2009?

Yamapi: “24 hour TV!”
Koyama: Because we were able to unite all our strength with the people all over the country right.
Yamapi: A lot of people helped with the fund raising and I really felt from my heart that it was a great project. . . .(To Tegomasu) I’m a bit hungry too~!
Ryo: I want to eat something too~ (Saying this, he pats his stomach)
Koyama: I was able to profit a lot from “24 hour TV” as well. In order to support kids who are deaf, I had to practise sign language but I’m even continuing to study it even now.
Shige:: I’ve known Koyama for a long time but this was the first time that I saw him trying so hard for something. He would always have books in his bag.
Massu: And for me, I was frantically trying by best to not loose to Atsu-kun, who was in a wheelchair.
Yamapi: We all tried out best at various things. I was also moved by Ryo-chan’s drama.
Koyama: What Shige gained from “24 hour TV” was “My” steel pan right (laugh)
Shige: My. . . . .My. . . . It’s Mine! Because I made the “My Pan” myself. That’s just how it is (laugh)
Tegoshi: (In a hesitant way) Everyone, how does Chinese food sound?
Yamapi: I ate Chinese food last night
Ryo: I don’t feel like Chinese food~. . .Now, I want to eat Ramen!
Tegoshi: That’s Chinese food isn’t it!
Ryo: No, “Ramen”! (laugh) Umm~ For me, There were a lot of times where my physical condition went down so I didn’t come out and I thought that I’m very sorry about that.
Massu: Ryo-chan really did seem like he was having it tough.
Shige: But at those times it seemed like we banded together. It was really good team work.

-And late at night, Koyama-san and Kato-san. . .

Koyama: We were on a variety show but. . .
Shige: We were slapped in the face by Antonio Inoki! (laugh)
Ryo: I probably watched some of it. How was it?
Shige: It really flew! But it was sort of something that you can’t personally experience. So I felt the importance of it.
Ryo: It’s not necessary for me to borrow Inoki-san’s strength. Because I already have fighting spirit (Grin)
Koyama: Yamapi, do you want to be injected with fighting spirit? (*Injected= “Chuunyuu”*)
Yamapi: (Talking like a baby) Chuunyuu???
Ryo: Haha (laugh) Shige was slapped in the face by Inoki-san but it seems like Yamapi wants to be slapped too.
Yamapi: (Yamashita, who wasn’t listening) Ah~ (laugh). I definitely don’t want to! I already have fighting spirit!
Massu: That comment was, as expected, directed at Kato-san.
Shige: Yes yes (laugh) But it was fun and it hurt until morning. Koyama sort of discussed a lot of things with entertainers.
Koyama: Yes, we had team meetings during the commercials. I learned a lot from it (laugh)

-You also released a DVD which included your self produced PV’s
Ryo: I like Shige’s. It’s Pop. The CG used in Yamapi’s one was dirty (laugh)
Yamapi: Hahaha (laugh) I also unexpectedly liked Shige’s.
Koyama: The bath scene in the backstage are getting more dangerous every time we do them. Before, we didn’t film any of the bottom part but this time it was sort of blurred out. We probably intend to just hide everyone’s faces the next time.
Shige: That would definitely be an NG (laugh)

-Your impressions and thought on your individual activities?
Massu: I was able to be in the play “Ame no hi no mori no naka” and I think we really made a wonderful production. I wonder if the feeling of all the cast getting along well together was shown on stage.
Koyama: I watched it. It was really good.
Tegoshi: That we were able to have our first Tegomasu tour was a new and fresh thing as well. As NEWS or as Tegomasu, as expected, I just normally want to have concerts.
Shige: I also went and watched Tegoshi’s “DREAM BOYS”. When I was able to do my play “SEMINAR”, I really learnt a lot. It feels like I changed a little.
Koyama: Seeing all the members try their best in a different atmosphere has a good feeling.

Koyama, Shige, Tegoshi and Massu talk about their feelings about the show a bit. Tegoshi thinks everyone would be wondering why he's so serious about winning, Shige's going to try his best for himself and the environment. There's a cross talk as well, where they talk about soukon ep 1 and having to run those 8km. During the relay I truthfully thought I was dissapointing (laugh) I couldn't take the baton properly. . .But from now on I'm going to try my best to run. Depending on how much we run a certain number of trees are planted so I'm going to be trying my best for the environment too! If I'm able to see this I'll probably feel energized!

I want people to watch us and think of us as "The people who run late at night". Since I was in my 3rd year of elementary school I had never run long distances before and so i thought that it would be impossible for me to run those 8km but I unexpectedly enjoyed running it. It's really tough. Because we're doing nothing but running. The day right after the 8km marathon was the 100m running. . . it's really hard. I'm not satisfied with my time for this time. It's frustrating. I want to challange it one more time.But running really feels good. Everyone, try running as well ok!

-It seems like there are many times where not even these 4 know what they'll be doing until they get there. . .(laugh) They started their first time with a surprise. Koyashige started from Ikejirioohashi and Tegomasu from Asakusa, and they were to run to the nihon TV and go into a press conference just like that! What were your feelings at that time?

Koyama: It was sort of like "Are you serious!? a press conference like this?". I was really surprised.
Shige: We were told "Anyways, just run" and then there suddenly was a press conference.
Massu: It was sort of like we didn't have any choice but to try our best and run and it was a little tough.

Do all of you like running?
Tegoshi: Yes, I usually run. I Love running!
Shige: Thats because Tegoshi plays Futsal, he can run fast.
Koyama: We ran from Ikejirioohashi to Shiodome but it's been ages since I last ran that long a distance. It was like 8km!?
Massu: When I started running it, I started to feel a bit uneasy from then on. We were running in the middle of the city so the surrounding changing was fun but it's because I couldn't see ahead. Because in elemntary school the longest i ran was a 3km marathon.
Shige: It was pretty far. We had to run through Shibuya and places like thatand it felt like everyone there was rushing. It seemed like everyone just bumped into us without even trying to avoid us.
Tegoshi: We started running from Asakusa but we went to Yushimatenjin and we prayed for the success of the show. Then we also ran around the imperial palace and it was really pretty and it felt good. It's good isn't it, running.
Shige: We ran around under Tokyo tower and over there there are a lot of traffic lights so we had to wait at the lights for a long time.
Koyama: This time Shige and me were a team but next time i think i might want to try running with Tegoshi. He doesn't like to lose with anything he does so it'll probably make us win so i want to see us run in a serious way i guess~ (laugh)
Massu: Thats right, Tegoshi ran really far ahead of me~.I was left far behind!He had forgotten about me (laugh)
Tegoshi: eh, Is that so? (laugh) Well, i think i'll try my best to run while keeping in mind that it's a TV show!
Shige: I want Tegoshi to seriously run so that he can go to the Honolulu marathon or something (laugh)
Tegsohi: You want to go that far!? If it's ok to go overseas, I'd want to go though (laugh)

Tegoshi: Even the record for elementary school students was pretty tough. We lost. . .
Shige: Sorry for saying this but us being slower than elementary school girls is really uncool (laugh)
Massu: But we like to run. So we need to try our best.
Koyama: Whatever match they give us is fine, I want to become the best in Japan.

The first event

The day before they had all done long distance running so their muscles were all hurting so it was a close game.Tegoshi even had his leg cramp up. No. 1 was Massu!

Koyama-kun said "The staff didn't think i'd make it this far right?" In the 100m running he got 2nd place with a time of 14.22 seconds. It has sort of the feeling of the worlds fastest man, Bolt!? Actually, we've been told that for this show they would actually go to the gym and train. As expected!

If they don't want to lose to the elementary school girls record, Tegoshi explains to Shige how to recieve the baton. The real thing was done in the order of Koyama -> Masuda -> Tegoshi -> Shige. Up until Tegoshi they were at a good pace but Shige started too early and didn't get the baton passed to him!Massu saw that happened and then collapsed onto the floor (laugh)

The first thing they did in the morning was check their 100m running times. But, Tegoshi ran too fast with all his strength and his leg cramped.

Tegoshi keeps sticking to it telling the staff who say "The relay is next. . . ", "I'm really fine now, please let me do it". He seemed frustrated with a result that he didn't agree with. He's a passionate guy.

After stretching, Tegoshi made a come back right away. Maybe because he was doing some light jogging and moving his body by playing some futsal. He was well enough to even practise dribbling the ball during the filming breaks. And then, in the realy, he dashed with all his might.But they didn't beat the record. "Lets do it again!" wanting to take revenge on it.

The second event
Walking race challange

The 4 of them who continued to run sarted to exhaust their strength. This is when the staff came up with if you "Tie a rubber band around your big toe" and "run while chewing gum" your time will go up. . .the information of which came into their hands somehow. "Will there realy be results from it?"it turned out that we'd try and see.

The 2nd challange on this day was to compare their speed with a fast walker. While they run 4 circuits of a 400m track, if the fast walker passes them they lose. The speed of the fast walker is faster than that of a normal person so the members were given a 100m advantage. At first they were running at a slower pace but the sound of the foot steps of the walker started to catch up on Massu and Shige. "He's really fast" "This is bad". And then, after running 2 times around they were passed by him. And Koyama was out 10 seconds later. The rubber band and the gum had no effect!? The only one left was Tegoshi. The members cheered him on with "Good luck!".And then, Tegoshi made it to the goal without getting passed by. A big round of applause.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEGO! ♥
It sucks that I have my last HSC exam on Tego's birthday D: lol but I was able to finish this translation a few days ago so I'm posting it before I go off to do my exam!

Tego talks about "Happiness", "Anger", "Sadness", and "Fun". He talks about Dream Boys ending safely and everything he learned from it, how much he hates people who don't have good manners, Massu always looking annoyed at a certain part of the airport lol, losing soccer games and Tego plans for his next prank victim (he has gotten tired of pranking Koyama lol) and it seems like there’ll be a TegoShige prank tag-team going on!

Tegoshi Duet 12/09

[Happines]
That the Tokyo shows of “DREAM BOYS” ended safely! The Osaka shows are from now on though (Interview was done in October) but I feel like I’ve achieved a sort of closure. Before the stage play started, It was my first musical and, unlike Kamenashi-kun and Subaru-kun, this is my first time staring in “DREAM BOYS” and I was worried wondering if I could do it. But now, because those 2 are there every day is very fulfilling. Before practise started, I was worrying about our blood type compatibility and thinking “I wonder if we’ll get along~” (laugh) With Subaru-kun, our passion for singing is similar and just normally talking to Kamenashi-kun is fun. In mine and Kamenashi-kun’s adlib corner in the play, I always wonder ‘How can I stump Kamenashi-kun with a question~”.♪ Ah, after one of the afternoon shows had finished, we all went out to eat. It was Kamenashi-kun’s treat and it was Shabu Shabu. It was so delicious that it was dangerous~!

[Anger]
During a break in the middle of play, when I was watching TV backstage, a documentary about not having good manners in public. I REALLY hate people that don’t have good manners so while watching the documentary I got annoyed. The “Yuya (*character in the play)”on that day may have seemed a bit more aggressive (laugh) But me getting angry is only at about that level. I think that all 6 of us in NEWS are quite the calm types. Ah, Massu gets annoyed at interesting times. At the luggage inspection area at the airport, he’ll always have a really displeased look on his face. It’s as if he doesn’t like other people touching his bags and his luggage. It’s their duty to do that before you get onto the plane you know~ (laugh)

[Sadness]
The Futsal team that I’m a part of being eliminated from the tournament. . .Speaking of which, my beach soccer team also lost the tournament this summer (cry) Last year we were able to participate in both and we left with good results but it would have been regrettable is we didn’t participate again this year! Because of that, we were very fired up. Our aim was to be invisible in the competition! Firstly, we had to enhance everyone’s levels of strengths. It seems like I’ll be told “What’s actually your job?” but (laugh) I completely challenge myself in both work and soccer! We got new uniforms as well so it made me want to fight for it ♥

That we were able to celebrate Subaru-kun’s birthday on stage. I did some research with Subaru-kun’s manager and was able to get him the perfect present ♪ Ah, speaking of Subaru-kun, Murakami (shingo)-kun’s dokkiri plans in the Kanjani8 DVD. That was really enjoyable! It made me laugh really loudly, which I hadn’t done in a while. When I told Subaru-kun what I thought about it I said “It was awesome~” (laugh) I want to have a sort of Dokkiri plan in the NEWS DVD too~ I would easily be able to trick Kei-chan, but because I’d want something fresh, I’ll pass. Maybe I’ll go for Massu or Ryo-kun. Shige can write the scripts for them! Yeah~ I want to play a trick on someone~ ♪

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEI-CHAN ♥
I was trying to look for a good interview to translate for Koyama's birthday and, it's a bit of an old interview, but i chose this one! :D

It's Koyama with a cute little kid. What a good combo yes? :D We all know Koyama's such a kid himself lol but at the same time, he's such a mother! In this interview he talks about how much he loves kids and about "mini Koyama", his newphew XD and, a Koyama birthday translation wouldn't be complete without some member ai ♥ :D He talks about his trip to Hawaii with Tegoshi and Shige and how those 2 would be hopeless without him!

• Today I came to the studio and when I was told “you’ll be doing a photo shoot with a kid”, I got really excited~ I love really small kids. Them not being able to do anything by themselves or being able to move around in ways that you can’t imagine just makes them so unbelievably cute. I love them so much that I’d really want to try be a child minder for a day. But, today I did a photo shoot with a young boy. He’s the child of one of the staff but he’s the same age and has the same name as my nephew. It’s a real coincidence isn’t it? It made his cuteness go up! And then on location for the photo shoot we were holding hands and stuff. It’s just that. . . .he was shy and he couldn’t really open up to me (bitter smile) With those things, my nephew is really great? Well, he never gets weary so I wonder what it is but, he’s really active. When he comes over to my house to play at 7am or 8am he’s saying “Kei-chan, wake up~” and he comes to me saying “Gyuu chuu~ (a hug and a kiss)”. The kiss is, of course, on the lips. I usually sleep at about 4am or 5am so I’m still really sleeping comfortably at around 7am or 8am. So I’m not really able to wake up (bitter smile) When I have time, we do things like going to buy toys together, and going to choose clothes and buying it for him. My “mini Koyama plan” is in action (laugh)

• Have you heard anything about my trip with Shige and Tegoshi to Hawaii in September from either of the other 2? (The staff said “I have. I’ve also heard about how Koyama’s English skills are terrible”), Hey, see, everyone’s saying that right? (laugh) But for some reason, out of all 3 of us the one who had the most communication power was me!? As much as Shige and Tegoshi study, they can’t speak English or even have proper grammar and they just think of what they want to say in their heads. But I was the one who thought that I could maybe do something through body language and with just my courage, I communicated to more locals than both of those guys. . . .But rather than going on about my English skills, I have something I want to say. The one who managed Tegoshi and Shige’s passports over there was me! At the airport the one who said “yep, this is the way to go home”, and also the one who handed over the airplane tickets and then one who told them “you have to take your shoes off~” at the body check place, was me!! Well, I was sort of acting as their manager. But I did too much of all that and Tegoshi and Shige didn’t notice how valuable I was. And that’s so frustrating! (laugh)

This is actually one of my most favourite Koyama photo shoots because. . well, it’s just so cute! ♥ Koyama hanging out with a little cute kid just doubles the cuteness :D Hope you all enjoyed~

Ryo Duet 5/09

As promised, Ryo's part~ :D

Ryo talks about being lonely, he talks about generous Yamapi always paying when they go to expensive restaurants and he insists that he doesn’t let this happen on purpose XD; and what incident makes Ryo smarter than Shige??. . . .

The one who takes the most action is?
Everyone except me and Massu. Because after a concert everyone goes to a sentou (public bath) together but the tour this time me and Massu just went back to the hotel~ In the tour before me and Pi would go to the gym but. . .lately I’ve been passive. . .

The one who has the most enthusiasm for one thing is?
I think everyone has their own enthusiasm for one thing. I get really tired of things easily but when I get into something, I spend a lot of time on it. Of course, I think that I’ll never be able to get sick of guitar and cooking too, I’ve been into making rolled omelette for 3 months already. Oppositly, I got sick of the game I bought after about a week (laugh)

The one who always needs company is?
Umm~ isn’t everyone someone who needs company?! I’m someone who always needs company. I’m the type who doesn’t want to be alone even if I’m at home. So I’m always calling my friends over but yesterday I was by myself all day so I was really lonely.

The most flashy one is?
To do with the flashiness of their private clothes, the most is Massu. There are times when he wears really flashy patterned clothes that surprise me (laugh) On the other hand, the one who’s plain is Shige. He has a lot of monotone clothes. Coincidentaly, his private clothes today were grey sweats and a thin pink shirt.

The most skillful one is?
For this one too, isn’t everyone skillful?! I’m surprisingly skillful too. I’m the type who can cook quite quickly, when I was a school student my grades in arts and crafts were really good and I was really good at soldering!! Ah, Koyama’s also really skillful (laugh)

The most generous one is?
Me!! (laugh) And Yamapi’s generous too. There have been a lot of times when we go out to eat together where he pays. There are times when I pay too but, for some reason, every time Pi pays it’s always when we’ve gone to an expensive store. . .It’s not on purpose but on accident. It’s really not on purpose!! (laugh)

The most spontaneous one is?
Maybe Yamapi!? By spontaneous, I mean he’s my paced. When he’s eating, he eats slowly and before a concert he’s also really slow to get changed backstage. . .Well, maybe it seems like that to me because I do things too fast (laugh) But it’s not a mistake

The most energetic one is?
I think this is definitely Tegoshi. It’s not that he’s annoying or loud or anything like that but it’s that he doesn’t know what being tired is. Even after we’ve done 2 concerts, he’s still really energetic. Looking at him makes me think that his physical ability has no low point~ On the other hand, the one who makes me think that he doesn’t really have much physical strength is Koyama. But that’s solely based on my own image of him though (laugh)

The most stubborn one is?
Massu. Because it feels like the ideas he comes up with always are drilled into us. During meetings for concerts he says things like “I want to sing this” and he has his own ideas about what he wants to do.

The kindest one is?
It’s impossible to decide who’s the most. Because everyone’s kind. But, the one who’s kindest from first meeting them is probably Koyama. Because he’s overflowing with kindness from head to toe (laugh) Ahh, it’s maybe Shige!? Seriously, he’s really thoughtful with various things!

The most gourmet one is?
The gourmet one is Koyama! Because he seems like he knows a lot of good places to eat. The one who eats a lot might be Shige!? I’m definitely a gourmet. Because when I want to go out to a store I ask someone and they take me. On top of that, I’m a light eater (laugh)

The most well-informed one is?
Shige. He’s smart!! I think him having that knowledge is really great. But recently, when I was talking to Shige about the revolutionist Che Guevara, he has a wrong bit of information and I told him the right information. Which means, as a result the one who’s the most well informed is me!? (laugh)

Massu Duet 5/09

This one's a bit later than i was planning on posting it but i've been sleep deprived and couldn't keep my eyes open yesterday XD;

Massu tells us how much Koyama stands out in a crowd of people on the streets, again with saying how Tegoshi's hyper personality is limited to backstage and Massu says he's nice because he didn't get revenge on Tegoshi by giving him a Massu-like shirt for his birthday XDD
I like how he mentioned Tego ♥ even if it wasn't too much

The one who takes the most action is?
Koyama and Shige. Those two seem like they’re always going on trips. The way they do thing is sort of like a girl isn’t it? It’s like “Right now in Korea, the Japanese Yen is high. . should we go?” and they get really into the talk and it gets longer and then right away they go on a trip, that’s the sort of image I have (laugh)

The one who has the most enthusiasm for one thing is?
Maybe Nishikido-kun. There are a lot of times when I think to myself “To Nishikido-kun, this is really popular probably”. Things like books and games and cell phones, he often changes them but he’s not someone who gets tired of things easily but he’s like the type that the more he gets into it, that items grade goes up.

The one who always needs company is?
I think everyone’s the type that can’t be alone. I think I’m someone who needs company but there’s never a time when I think that it’s not ok to have to be with someone. So, there are also never times when I leave the backstage room (laugh)

The most flashy one is?
Koyama Koyama Koyama (laugh) When you look at his clothes or his accessories they’re all sparkly. A while ago when I bumped into him by chance in town I was surprised. Just when I was thinking “Oh, there’s a person who stands out”, it was Koyama! I didn’t think his hair was the same as usual (laugh)

The most skilful one is?
It’s me. Ever since I was small I’ve been really good with manual arts. In my higher grades in elementary school, I was really into making original mini 4 wheel-drives. Even if I only had one file (*as in to file wood etc), I would make sure to properly do the details and then finishing touches, separate them into 3 groups and polish them properly and when I painted it yellow, I made sure not to let the colour run and sprayed it carefully, I loved working on the small details. When I went and played with my own hand made cars at the racing track set up at the place where mini 4 wheel-drives were sold at the department store, I was told by a lot of adults “Won’t you sell that car body?”. Of course, I never sold it (laugh)

The most generous one is?
Probably Koyama. During a tour there are lots of times where we ask the staff to buy us a few things from the convenience store. And when Koyama asks them for stuff, for some reason he always says “Well, while you’re at it. . . .” and he asks for things like juice or throat candy for the rest of us. It ends up being Koyama entrusting his wallet to the staff and the things being bought so he automatically ends up treating us. But because Koyama says “While you’re at it” we don’t say “Hey, hold on a minute” but rather we gloomily just agree with “Thank you for treating us~”. . .(laugh)

The most spontaneous one is?
If meant in the way that he has a different sense to other people, it’s Yamashita-kun. There have been many times when we’ve been surprised by Yamashita-kun’s opinions at meetings for concerts. Rather than congratulating his ideas, but because he says a lot of crazy things, we all say “well, it’s original. . .” and we all get surprised (laugh)

The most energetic one is?
Tegoshi. But it’s just with the members backstage. He runs around, jumps up and down, he just doesn’t stay still. And before we now it, he’s playing some sort of prank on Koyama (laugh) But when the real show starts, he pretends to be innocent. It’s a cute cat though (*because the phrase for “to pretend to be innocent” has the word for cat is in it so Massu is trying to be funny)

The most stubborn one is?
Everyone except Koyama (laugh)

The kindest one is?
All of the members are kind. For my birthday last year Tegoshi gave me a T-shirt. . .But I thought “no matter how it looks, rather than it suiting me it’s just something that Tegoshi’s interested in” because it was a skull shirt. That’s why I was thinking that for Tegoshi’s birthday I’d give him a T-shirt with a “me sense” to it. But that would be childish and I had a feeling that I already lost to him (laugh) So I properly gave him clothes which was Tegoshi image. See, aren’t I nice! (laugh)

The most gourmet one is?
Me. But only because I like to eat (laugh) But when I eat delicious food I feel happiness. The food that has been a hit lately has been the gyoza I ate while promoting my drama on a TV talk show! They prepared it for me because I love gyoza but it was too delicious so I couldn’t say anything but “It’s good!” (laugh)

The most well-informed one is?
Maybe Shige and Nishikido-kun. I think they’re both well attuned to books and movies and new information. The also know well about new products and are always reading magazines like “The complete comparison of electrical appliances” (laugh) Being aware of those sorts of fads, on top of doing this job it’s important. The thing that I think “I know more than other people” would be, as expected, Fashion. People tend to know a lot about the things they like.

Welcome to hellomichi a community dedicated to NEWS translations :D I’ve decided to post my translations here because this way I think they’ll be easier to keep track of and easier to organise. And it’ll probably be easier for all of you if you want to find a certain translation in the future right? :D

This community is members only, so join to read the translations. There aren’t many rules, but the rules that there are have been written in the user info, so go and check there.

In regards to anyone wanting to request a translation of anything NEWS related, feel free to request by commenting here or emailing me (murasaki- @hotmail.com). BUT! I can’t promise that I’ll get the request done because I usually translate articles that interest me (usually recent ones) and I can’t always stick to translating something if it’s not interesting XD; But if you still want to request feel free ok, because I will look at them and if I have time I will try :D
